KLUNK take the credit for being Salisbury’s first punk rock band. Their influences were the Stranglers and Ian Drury and the Blockheads. The group’s strengths were rock ‘n roll and rhythm and blues. They played the regular club scene, including Barneys, Le Coq d’Or and Bretts, as well as many a private function or occasion. A contract with the Moores Motel group had the band travelling every weekend to Gatooma and Que Que.
