In former Outlaws’ skins man – Ian Steel’s – view, this was the best band that he had ever been a member of.  This, in no small measure, was due to the charisma and musicianship of Charlie Armstrong which, combined with their collective talents, took the band to higher levels than previously experienced.  The band gigged locally, particularly at Brown’s Hotel which they regularly packed out.  The band even got around to making a demonstration tape using the local Clan Transport warehouse as their recording venue. In due course Charlie Armstrong decided to leave the country for South Africa and, in Ian’s words, “the band was never the same again”.
